07/23/2010 - Etobicoke, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tim Clark fired a six-under 64 Friday to grab a share of the lead after 36 holes of the Canadian Open.
Clark was joined in the lead by Dean Wilson, who carded a 65 in round two. They are tied at 10-under-par 130.
First-round leader Brent Delahoussaye posted a one-under 69 and slipped into a tie for third at minus-nine. He was joined there by Steve Wheatcroft, who shot four-under 66 Friday.
The second round was completed Friday despite a two-hour weather delay prior to the start of the round.
With a slightly different setup this week, players started on the first and ninth tees at St. George's Golf & Country Club for the first two rounds.
Clark, who finally broke through for his first PGA Tour win earlier this year at the Players Championship, started his round on the ninth, where he collected his first birdie.
The South African dropped in back-to-back birdie chances from the 11th to move to minus-seven. Clark parred four straight before a birdie on the 17th.
Around the turn, Clark birdied the third and fifth to climb to 10-under. He parred his final three holes.
"I certainly didn't expect to be scoring on this course," Clark admitted. "I thought in the Pro-Am it was going to be pretty tough. But you know, I've been hitting the driver really well and driving it in the fairway is a huge key on this golf course. I've done that and been able to stay out of trouble."
Wilson, whose lone PGA Tour win was at The International in 2006, got going with a birdie on the first. He gave that stroke back with a bogey at the fourth.
The 40-year-old atoned for that error with a birdie on the par-three sixth. Around the turn, Wilson moved to seven-under with a birdie at the 10th.
Wilson birdied 13 and 15 to move to nine-under. He was the first in the clubhouse at 10-under as he birdied the 17th.
"I'm happy the way I've been playing. I've missed a few cuts, so it's nice to get in contention and get in the mix," said Wilson, who has missed the cut in five of his last six starts. "So it just feels nice to have a little bit of control over my game."
J.J. Henry carded a five-under 65 Friday to move into a share of fifth at eight-under-par 132. He stands alongside Hunter Mahan (67), Rob Grube (66) and Brock Mackenzie (68).
Defending champion Nathan Green shot 65 to climb into a share of ninth at minus-seven. He was joined there by Bob Estes (67), Tim Herron (63), Vance Veazey (69) and Matt Jones (67).
NOTES: One day after Delahoussaye fired a 62 to match the tournament's 18-hole scoring record, Kevin Sutherland shot 62 on Friday...No. 8 Paul Casey, the highest ranked player in the field, tripped to a three-over 73, which put him over the cut line, which fell at one-under-par 139 with 79 players moving on to the weekend...Sean O'Hair, Fred Couples and Mike Weir were among those joining Casey with the weekend off.

Terrell Owens could return for Cowboys next game
A bye week will allow Terrell Owens broken hand to recover just in time for the next game the Dallas Cowboys are slated to play, according to reports. MySportsbook.com, an football sportsbook, has posted football betting lines on TO playing.
Owens broke the bone leading to his right ring finger Sunday night and had a plate surgically attached to it Monday. Although Owens' hand was swollen and aching Wednesday, Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said he's optimistic the receiver will be back at work next week and catching passes a week from Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

"I certainly wouldn't rule it out now," Parcells said, referring to Terrell Owens immediate return. "Maybe five days from now I might, but I wouldn't rule it out now. ... I know we're looking to try to get him moving around pretty good in the next day or so. So we'll see where we are."
Owens did not speak with reporters Wednesday, but said Sunday he'd be out two to four weeks. A return against the Titans would be 13 days after the surgery. The Cowboys were listed as an early -7 1/2 favorite vs. the Tennessee Titans for Week 4 at MySportsbook.com

Big 12 Conference betting odds
Work left to do: Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas State
Texas joins Texas A&M and Kansas as locks after getting league win No. 11. Texas Tech greatly helped its own hopes and crippled OK State's with the two-point win Saturday. Is K-State the last reasonable hopeful? Could be an elimination match in Stillwater on Tuesday, at least for the Cowboys.
Work left to do:
Texas Tech [18-11 (7-7), RPI: 44, SOS: 12] A critical two-point win over OK State leaves the Red Raiders with Baylor and at Iowa State left. Get both and the Red Raiders likely are good to go. Get one and there could be some interesting comparisons with a K-State team that could finish two or three games "ahead" of them in the standings but doesn't have any of the quality wins Texas Tech has. Not a lot in nonconference play (against Arkansas in Little Rock being the best win, by far) to lean on.
Oklahoma State [18-9 (5-8), RPI: 50, SOS: 35] Still without a road win, the Cowboys now need to win two on the road just to get to .500 in conference play. It's hard to recall a team (OK, other than Clemson) falling so precipitously from lock status to almost certainly out of the NCAAs at this point. There are wins to be had in the last three, including a very big home game against K-State on Tuesday, but this team is reeling. Can you tell the pressure to win is getting to them with the way the final possession played out at Texas Tech? There are some good nonconference performances to lean on, specifically beating Missouri State and Syracuse on neutral floors and Pitt in OK City, but if the Pokes don't right this very, very soon, that won't be enough.
Kansas State [20-9 (9-5), RPI: 56, SOS: 96] It pays to be in the Big 12 North. The nine league wins are Colorado (twice), Missouri (twice), Iowa State (twice), Baylor, Nebraska and (a good one against) Texas. That helps explain the middling computer profile. The win over USC is nice, but the nonconference leaves a lot to be desired. The game at OK State in Stillwater on Tuesday is huge, as it could KO the Cowboys and leave K-State with a home date against Oklahoma with which to work.
